Make & Take Soap Making Class Just In Time For Back To School

Honey Grove Botanicals Bath & Candle Boutique will offer a fun soap making class for kids ages 6-12 on the last Sunday of every month, beginning Sunday, September 28th.

The class will be held at the shop, located at 74 Mill Street in downtown Gahanna, Ohio. Class time is from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.

The maximum class size is 8. More classes would be added should the demand requires it.

Kids will have good, clean fun learning the art of melt and pour soap crafting. They'll learn how to decorate their soap with embedded toys, botanicals, silk flowers, colorful mini erasers and more. They'll learn how to use fragrance and food grade coloring to create a unique scent and color in their soap. We’ll have a variety of shaped soap molds from which to choose. Your soap creation can be the perfect gift for teachers, mom, dad, grandma, grandpa, or just about anyone you want to share them with.

Once the design work is complete the soap will need about 30 minutes in the refrigerator to harden. During this wait time we’ll discuss the importance and proper technique of hand washing. Knowing how to properly wash your hands can greatly reduce the spread of germs that can cause colds and other illness. When the soap creations have cooled and are ready for unmolding, the kids will wrap and label their soaps.

The cost of this class is $10.00 per child, which includes their own soap creation and a nailbrush for proper hand cleaning to take home.

Look Ma, I'm Blogging!

For quite some time I've been wanting to do this, this blog thing, but have no clue what to blog about. I'd just sit here, watching my cursor blink at me, taunting me, "Type, you! I'm waaaaiting!" Too much pressure. Sweaty palms, shallow breath. Click on X. Walk away.

My husband will tell you, "Oh, she has plenty to go on about. "

So, I've decided to blog about what I most easily talk about, my business, Honey Grove Botanicals.

Without further ado.
